George W. Rourke
Chief Executive, Officer and President
George is a native of Chicago, and graduate of Depaul University with more than 30 years of experience in all facets of real estate development and finance. Formerly an officer of James W. Rouse & Company, a national real estate mortgage and development company, Mr. Rourke was directly responsible for arranging development financing for many major real estate development throughout the United States. Since Venterra’s inception 30 years ago, over $40,000,000 developments have been completed.
Charles H. Osweiler

Charles is a past president of the Chicago Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers. Mr. Osweiler has over 25 Years experience in all varieties of corporate real estate matters: sale and lease transactions; marketing office, high tech R & D and industrial properties; development of build to suits; Illinois Tool Works, Inc., First National Bank of Chicago, The Prudential Insurance Company and Brookshore Lithographers Inc. Mr. Osweiler has a Master Degree in Social Science (Urban Development) from the University of Chicago.
Dennis J. Johnston
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Dennis has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Loyola University of Chicago. His strong accounting background and excellent analytical skills assist in all financial planning for Venterra. Mr Johnston oversees the financial planning of projects ranging from $2,000,000 to $30,000,000 loan administration and financial reporting of partnership and management accounts; review of facilities management activities at all commercial, retail and residential properties under Venterra as well as budget review or preparation on all Venterra properties and Personnel administration.

Michael P. Rourke
Vice President, Director of Retail Services
Michael is a 1987 graduate of Southern Methodist University. Michael since that time has been responsible for the Leasing and Management of over 450,000 square feet. of retail space. Other roles have included Construction Loan Administrator, Tenant Representative and Facilities Manager. Currently, he is the Director of Leasing and Management for the 180,000 square feet at Westport Commons Shopping Center and is overseeing the development and various land parcels on behalf of Venterra and it’s clients.

Sandra Sorensen
Vice President, Director of Accounting Services
Sandy is a graduate of Northern Iowa University, with a B.A. in Financial Management, Mrs. Sorensen is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting for Venterra managed residential, commercial and retail developments. Mrs. Sorensen also processes all partnership and corporate financial information for Venterra ventures and their affiliates.
Gina M. Polichemi
Director-Corporate Administration

Gina has been employed by Venterra since 1991 as an administrative assistant to Mr. George Rourke. Her duties include maintaining corporate development files, preparation of executive summaries on properties under development and organizing executive office functions including work performed on behalf of corporate charities.

Sven Johnson
Licensed Structural Architect, and Professional Engineer, State of Illinois, Wisconsin and Florida
Sven is a graduate of Northwestern Univesity, B.S. 1959, M.S. 1966. Mr. Johnson has 45 years of architectural and structural design experience. He is also the chair of the Structural Engineering Licensing Board of Illinois Department of Professional Regulations, the Design Professions (Architects, Structural Engineers, Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors) of Illinois Department of the Professional Regulations, the Chair of the Structural Committee on Examinations for Professional Engineers of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying and Vice Chair from the Central Zone of NCEES and member of the Board of Directors.
